To build up our new air conditioning and refrigeration department, JANS is looking for an experienced technician (m/f/d) to start immediately, taking over the sales, installation and service of air conditioning systems and helping build the department from day one. See the detailed job advertisement here:
Our company has been delivering high-quality construction and trade work for years. Now we are setting up a new line of business: air conditioning. Consulting, sales, installation and service of air conditioning systems and units, all under one roof.
For that we need someone who knows the trade. A technician who has already sold, installed and repaired air conditioning units, and who would rather build a department from day one than settle into ready-made structures.
At the start, you are the department: you advise the customers, size and quote the systems, install them and handle maintenance and repairs afterwards. Over time you help decide which manufacturers we carry, how the warehouse is set up and how the work gets done. As the business grows, your responsibility grows with it, up to leading the department with your own team.
- Consulting and sales of air conditioning systems and units to private and business customers
- Sizing and quoting the systems, from single units to multi-split solutions
- Installation and commissioning
- Maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting
- Building up the product range: manufacturers, suppliers, stock and spare parts
- Helping shape quotes, pricing and workflows of the new department
- Point of contact for our customers, in German and French
- Training in refrigeration, air conditioning or building technology, for example as a refrigeration mechatronics technician, HVAC fitter, technician or master craftsman
- Several years of hands-on experience with air conditioning units, in service and ideally in sales too
- Certification for handling refrigerants
- Confident in consulting, quoting and costing
- Category B driving licence
- German and French, written and spoken (mandatory)
- You work independently and don’t need anyone to organise your day for you.
- You sell customers what suits their building, not what happens to be in stock.
- People can rely on your word, on deadlines as well as on prices.
- When something goes wrong, you look for the solution, not for someone to blame.
- For you, quality is not a goal, it is the standard.
- A department you help build from day one and lead later on
- A permanent, future-proof position in an innovative Luxembourg family business
- Performance-based pay above the standard rate
- A company vehicle plus modern tools, measuring equipment and IT
- Training and certifications directly with the manufacturers
- Short decision-making paths, flat hierarchies and direct communication
- A workplace close to the border, easy to reach
